A Tour of Sheridan’s Love Sculpture Walk
Saturday, September 6, 10 am – 12 pm.
Meeting Point: Leonardo’s Horse, Corner of Coffeen Ave and Burkitt Street
Take a leisurely walk with Jochen Wierich, Curatorial Director, The Brinton Museum and Greg Luhman, Chair of the Sheridan Public Arts Commission to explore highlights of the Love Sculpture Walk on Sheridan’s historic Main Street. Wierich was formerly a curator of sculpture at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Luhman is a long-time member of the Arts Commission and worked with Kim Love on many sculpture acquisitions. Join us at the starting point, the iconic Leonardo’s Horse sculpture, and then stroll with us along Main Street to explore the history of the sculpture walk, ending with the much-talked-about Car Bumpers sculpture. Along the way, we will stop for a coffee-break at Java Moon. Get ready for a lively conversation around old and new sculpture favorites.
